Hi everyone

My name is Boby, i’m a musician and a graphic designer and this is the first time i do blog, ever! (from the way you write..that’s so obvious boby)

Ever since i was a kid, i’ve always been very passionate about food, not just eating the whole lot of them..but also curious about how to prepare and cook them, how one ingredient complements others…and so on. My mom always said that every time i was asked “what do you want to be when you grow up?” while other kids answered “doctors, pilots, policemen, etc.”, i’d always answered “i want to own a restaurant”…and i was 4 back then. She’d probably think at that time what a weird kid she has…(some things never change i guess =p).

In order to reach my dream on owning a restaurant, as a kid i’ve had always made mess in mom’s kitchen. From a simple omelette to complicated food like fried rice (believe me…fried rice was quite complicated for me, probably still is =p), sometimes it turned out okay…but most of the time it was just a mess.

Whatever the result, i found enjoyment in cooking and i remember to always watched this TV show “Wok With Yan” after school (i think that was the only TV show about cooking in Indonesian local TV back then, CMIIW), kinda disappointed when the show ended. And now thank God fer the internet! bless them who have invented it, there are billions of videos about cooking lessons there..so people like me can easily learn from those videos. Some of them are very simple and easy, a pan seared salmon dish for instance, while others are quite difficult and complicated. But to me..all of them are so much fun!

From those nice videos on the internet, and TV shows like “Hell’s Kitchen”, “Surreal Gourmet”, “World Cafe Asia” -to name a few- i’ve inspired to cook more and more. After a while, not only that i concern about how the food tastes but the presentation as well, because all of those great chefs out there -in different languages- said that “Presentation is very important!”.

Then i began to post the cooking result photos on my facebook page. Surprisingly i got quite a lot positive comments from my friends, and one of them suggest that i have my own blog to put those photos and tell the story of my cooking experiences.

So..although i’m no chef, just a guy with a passion for cooking..here i am, and yes..i do believe that everyone can cook.

Cheers,

Boby
